Privacy Policy

This policy explains how EforCreative Solutions Inc. ("we", "us") handles information in our iOS apps, including Camera Remote Control (Camia). We keep things simple: no accounts, no sign-up, and your photos and videos never pass through our servers.

Photos, videos and the camera

The camera and microphone are used only to take the photos and videos you control from your other device.
The live preview and captured shots go directly between your two devices over a local, encrypted peer-to-peer connection (Apple MultipeerConnectivity, using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth). They are not uploaded to us or anyone else.
Photos and videos are saved only to your device's Photos library, with your permission.
Your device name (or the nickname you set) is shown to nearby devices so they can find and connect to you.

Information collected by third-party services

The free version of the app shows ads and uses analytics so we can keep it free and improve it. These Google services collect some information automatically:

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, or precise location, and we do not sell personal information. Analytics data is reported to us in aggregate.

Tracking and your choices

The app asks for permission before allowing tracking (Apple App Tracking Transparency). If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the advertising identifier is not shared and ads are less personalized.
You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Camera, microphone, Photos and Local Network permissions can be changed in Settings → Camera Remote Control.
Ads in the app are limited to family-friendly (G-rated) content.

Data stored on your device

The app stores a few settings on your device (for example, your device nickname and whether you've seen a prompt). Deleting the app removes them.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help remove it.

Retention and security

We don't store your photos, videos or personal information on our own servers. Data collected by Google services is kept according to Google's retention settings. Connections between your devices are encrypted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, Canada under PIPEDA, the EU/UK under GDPR, or California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. Because we don't hold identifiable data ourselves, most requests are handled through the settings above or through Google; contact us and we will help.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version.
